Terms and Conditions
Verse vs Verse · Effective October 28, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Andrew Ivy-Townley, doing business as LTDA Studio (“we”, “us”), for Verse vs Verse: the game at versevsverse.app, the iOS app and the desktop app (“the game”). By playing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t play.
Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own.
- If you’re under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- An account is optional. If you make one, keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Playing with other people
Verse vs Verse is played live with other people, by voice. Other players hear what you say in voice chat, hear the bars you record during a battle, and see your name and character. Keep it fun, and keep it to the battle. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully or stalk anyone, or target anyone for who they are (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or the like);
- share anyone’s personal information, or sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever;
- use a player name that impersonates someone or is hateful or obscene;
- cheat, exploit bugs, disrupt lobbies or the servers, or use modified clients or bots;
- break the law, or help anyone else do so.
Trash talk is part of a rap battle. Hate and harassment aren’t. Every player can report, block and vote to kick. We may remove content, end a session, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, with or without notice. We don’t watch every lobby and can’t promise how other players will behave.
Your content
- Your raps, voice and names are yours. You give us permission to carry them to the other players in your lobby, play them back, and store your battle history, only as needed to run the game. Voice chat isn’t recorded, and the game server doesn’t keep recordings after the round (see the Privacy Policy).
- Songs you add are shared with the players in your lobby so everyone can play over them. Only add songs you have the right to use and share this way. We may remove any song, and will respond to valid copyright complaints sent to support@versevsverse.app.
- Battles you save or download include the beat. The beats are licensed to us for the game; a battle you download is for your own personal, non-commercial use, and the beats in it may not be extracted, sold or used on their own.
The game and its content
The game, its code, art, characters, visuals and word lists belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us (see Settings → Legal → Credits in the game). You may play it; you may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, or pull its beats, art or other files out of it, except as the law allows.
The free game and the full game
- The free version is free to play and shows ads.
- The full game is a one-time purchase that unlocks every song, mode and setting and removes the ads. It’s a personal licence for your account, not a subscription, and can’t be transferred or resold.
- Prices are shown before you pay and include tax where the law requires. On the web and in the US iOS app, payment is handled by Stripe; elsewhere in the iOS app, by Apple.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the full game is removed from the account.
- We may change what the free and full game include over time, but we won’t take away the main features of the full game from people who bought it, as long as we run the game.
Changes and availability
We’re a small studio. We update the game often, and may change or remove features. The game needs an internet connection and our servers, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. If we ever shut the game down, we’ll give notice in the game first where we can.
Disclaimer
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for what other players say or do, and our total liability to you for anything to do with the game is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or US $20. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending
You can stop playing at any time, and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms. The sections on your content, our content, the disclaimer and limits of liability still apply afterwards.
Apple
If you use the iOS app: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content, has no duty to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn’t responsible for any claims about it (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; that is Apple’s only warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you aren’t in a country under US government embargo or on a US prohibited-party list.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the game if a change is significant. Playing after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you live in the EU, the UK or another place whose consumer laws protect you regardless, those protections still apply.
